October 7 changed the inner world of hundreds of thousands of Jews around the globe.
Within just a few days, the times of pogroms and the feeling of “the world against the Jews” returned. Millions of people embraced the most horrific methods of killing Jews with a kind of primal ecstasy. The certainty that the days of the Holocaust would never recur — vanished.
The Am haZikaron Institute is creating “The Book of Fates: October 7”, whose goal is to record this turning point in Jewish history and preserve the personal experiences of Jews worldwide during those tragic days.

An interview with Dr. Itzhak Fouxon, given to Igor Kharif on Israel’s REKA radio, will tell more about this initiative. On air, stories from Jews around the world will be read — stories about what October 7 came to mean for them.
